2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championships

Ticket and additional event information for the 2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championships will be available in the spring of 2011. International Skating Union (ISU) has awarded the 2013 World Figure Skating Championships to Skate Canada. The ISU accepted the Skate Canada recommendation of London, announcing the championships will be held March 10-17, 2013 at the John Labatt Centre with the Western Fair Sports Centre serving as the practice arena.

House league teams vie for championship

WOODSTOCK – Almost 40 teams in seven divisions spent the weekend at Southwood Arena vying for their respective championships. The culmination of their entire season, this final tournament for the Woodstock Minor Hockey Association’s house league program brought together hundreds of players and their coaches for three days of intense competition. “This is the championship weekend for house league,” said Sharron Barrowcliffe, the convener for Woodstock’s bantam and midget programs. “The kids play all season, and they tally up the points. “It’s a great group. We’ve got a great bunch of kids and a great coaching staff.”

2012 ALLIANCE HOCKEY IBAO Championships
House League Championships, Woodstock, Ontario

The 2011-2012 ALLIANCE House League Championships will be held in Woodstock, Ontario hosted by the Woodstock Minor Hockey Association from April 6 – 8, 2012. This event has been in operation since the inception of the ALLIANCE and sees teams from Novice to Juvenile major divisions participate in a tournament format event to crown the ALLIANCE Hockey House League Champions! The event is unique in comparison with any other House League event in Ontario.

2012 ALLIANCE HOCKEY IBAO Championships

Minor Development Championships – Stratford, Ontario

The Minor Development Championship will embark on its fourteenth year of operation from April 13 – 15, 2012 and is one of the greatest events within ALLIANCE HOCKEY. The level of play and competition is exceptional! The event has always proven to be an excellent goal for teams and players to strive for during the season. Formerly known as the “ALLIANCE Member League Championships”, the ALLIANCE HOCKEY Minor Development Championships has grown to a 72 team format from Novice through to Midget Tier 1 and Tier 2 with the top two teams from the East/Central League and the top two teams from the Western League competing in a 4-team round robin to determine ALLIANCE Hockey supremacy at their given divisions. The West Division consists of teams from Sarnia, Stratford, London Bandits, London West, London North and Oakridge. The East/Central Division consists of teams from St. Catharines, Hamilton, Burlington, Brantford, Waterloo, Kitchener, Woodstock and Cambridge.
The Championships will conclude with 18 different Champions being crowned on Sunday, April 15th, 2012.
